My favorite person to be is a coach.
I get to help people recognize their strengths and abilities, build their confidence, & see their eyes light up as they live their purposeful life on their terms.
I started my first career as a professional figure skating instructor, then transitioned to being a behavioral support specialist for kiddos in treatment foster care, then spent over 16 years as an early interventionist and clinical director working with parents, elementary teachers, and coaching consultants. And along the way I went back to school and got my masters in psychology.
Over the years I have seen too many brilliant, creative, thoughtful people held back by self-doubt & fear.
I believe we are all whole as we are, but sometimes we have learned patterns of behaving and relating that helped us survive at one time, but no longer serve us, and actually hold us back.
I have spent almost two decades dedicated to helping people make changes so their lives have more ease, connection, and joy. And I have seen how hard change is, even when we want it. And how much easier it is when you have someone coaching and encouraging you along the way.
You can figure out how to let go of the ‘shoulds’, the weight of expectations, not wanting to let people down, and create your ideal life where self-doubt, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome no longer keep you frozen in survival mode.
Although I originally thought I wanted to become a therapist, in graduate school I realized it wasn’t the right fit for me. Therapy can be so important to overcome trauma, to make peace with your past so you can survive and live your life… but is that all? After you’ve done the hard work in therapy, what can help you go further and really thrive? Coaching is where we get to do this. And that is why being a coach is my favorite person to be.
You deserve to go beyond surviving. You have what it takes to build a life you’re proud of. More ease, more joy, more security, more fulfillment…
